    • National Assessment Team Trainer (November 2005-present): Train educators in Assessment FOR Learning for Solution Tree, an Educational Publishing Company.
    • University of Georgia, Athens, GA. (March 2007-June 2007). Worked with an evaluation team to review school visit reports in Georgia schools receiving partial federal Comprehensive School Reform (CSR) grant money to contribute a qualitative analysis to a sustainability study which examined characteristics of schools that were able to continue reform efforts a despite lack of funding.
    • Chaska School District, Chaska, MN. (August 2005-June 2006): Worked with administrators and teacher leaders to promote school improvement, including analyzing data; planning and implementing professional development.
    • Osseo Data Templates Training Coordinator (September 2005-August 2006): Coordinate the design of templates to track frequent formative assessment; a project in collaboration with CASTLE (UCEA Center for the Advanced Study of Technology Leadership in Education).
    • Hamline Assessment Project Co-coordinator (May-June 2005): Designed and facilitated an Assessment Think Tank with professors, consultants and practitioners in order to inform the design of a Hamline University Assessment Course and Assessment Resource Center.
    • NW MN INFOCON, E2T2 Technology Grant Evaluator (September 2004-December 2005): Designed and implemented a program evaluation for a technology grant awarded to a consortium of schools in Northwest MN in collaboration with Dr. Scott McLeod, University of MN.
    • Minneapolis Public Schools, Curriculum Generalist and Reform Specialist (August 2002-present): Worked with Instructional Leaders and Principal to facilitate curriculum mapping; facilitated weekly ongoing meetings with teams of teachers to examine assessments and student work, and designed and implemented evaluation conversations to facilitate the use of data in making instructional decisions. Worked with High School Superintendent to facilitate the implementation of Small Learning Communities in seven high schools.
    • Minnesota Public Radio (Summer 2003): Wrote and develop an Educator’s Guide to Sound Learning, a resource tool for teachers to utilize the materials on Minnesota Public Radio.
    Princeton Center for Leadership (Princeton, NJ)
    • Program Evaluator (October 2000-August 2001): Surveyed, monitored, and observed 14 middle schools throughout the state of New Jersey. Wrote a comprehensive report, documenting the results for NJ Department of Health and Senior Services (Grant Sponsor).
    • Trainer (October 2000-July 2002): Facilitated trainings involving students and adults.
    • Assistant Director for Parent Leadership Corps/REBEL 2 (September 2001-July 2002): Trained, designed, and assisted in the coordination of a statewide parent prevention program and a statewide middle school tobacco prevention program.
    Concordia College Orientation Chairperson (1993-1994)
    • Designed and planned Freshman Orientation for Concordia College. This included hiring a committee of eight, hiring 100 communicators to lead groups of 20 freshmen in a week of academic, social and emotional orientation.
    Concordia College Handbook Editor (1993)
    • Edited a comprehensive handbook for Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota.
    Student Lecturer (1994)
    • Wrote and presented a paper entitled “Slavery: The Grim Picture.” The work involved comparing the writing of Olaudah Equiano and Booker T. Washington in relationship to their audiences’ response.
    Sexual, Physical and Emotional Abuse in Relationships Task Force (1992-1994)
    • Developed and implemented a program that brought role-plays regarding relationship issues to teenagers and parents in the Fargo, ND and Moorhead, MN area.

    • Building Assets Together of Eden Prairie Project Coordinator (Wrote grants to fund projects based on research conducted; organized and facilitated community based projects)
    • At-Risk Researcher/Facilitator (Interviewed and surveyed over 50 staff members in a high school of 3000 students to begin facilitating better services for students)
    • Service Learning Advisor/Trainer (Organized a service learning day for 3000 students and 150 staff members, while involving over 200 organizations/businesses in the community; organized ongoing service projects for groups and individuals)
    • Playerz: Improvisation troupe advisor/trainer (Designed training and curriculum; implemented and presented programs throughout the community)

    • Hazelden Prevention Trainer (Trained various schools around leadership, communication, and action planning)
